At -40F it takes every bit of heat the engine puts out to keep a 55
gallon drum of veggie oil liquid. We insulated the veggie tank, and we
even put a electric valve on the radiator with a thermostat to redirect
more heat into the fuel. When I can build an insulated shed around the
engine and fuel tanks, then I can redirect some of the "extra" heat into
the greenhouse. The exhaust already runs through the greenhouse to help
keep it warm in cold weather.

A 55 gallon drum with 25 ft^2 of surface and R19 insulation needs
(60-(-40))25/19 = 131 Btu/h (38 watts) to stay 60 F in -40 F air,
eg the entire heat output of a 10 watt generator.

I will beef up the insulation and by building the shed, remove the wind
component.
