Did you know you can run your diesel on used fryer oil? Yes, that stuff
the restaurants throw away is actually fuel. Want to learn how to do it?
We will be giving a class on converting diesels to run this clean
burning renewable fuel on Oct. 2nd, in Falls Village , CT.

The class will be held Oct. 2nd at 9am. It's an all day class.
Participants will be able to get hands on conversion experience, and we
plan on having 3 different vehicles there for conversion. The cost is $50

Drop us an email for details on the class, or for your own wvo
conversion kit or biodiesel processor.

Directions to the class can be found at
http://www.isabellafreedman.org/mor...irections.shtml

I was reading abut a guy mixing diesel/ straight (50/50) used fryer oil
(filtered of course) without conversion. He claims about 17 cents a gallon
for fuel.

Hmmm.... If he's mixing 50/50 and the fryer oil is absolutely free, then
he's getting 1/2 gallon of diesel for 17 cents. Or 34 cents a gallon of
diesel to make two gallons of 50/50.

To h___ with the fryer oil, where can I get diesel for 34 cents a gallon? I
want some of that.

that was my first inperpretation... then the absurdity kicked in and I
realized he was estimating that it cost him 17cents a gallon to pick
up and process the WVO.... but you knew that, and was just being
jaggy, I'd reckon. ;)

Without conversion you risk damaging your injector pump, and clogging
your injectors.

Due to the overwhelming response, I have added a pre-registration button
on our web page:

http://www.green-trust.org/2005/09/...-2nd-falls.html

If you are coming, please pre-register, as this will help us plan for
the larger group.

We will also show the on-site biodiesel processor.

You would be best off to market to the burger chains themselves.
McDonalds, Wendy's, Hardee's/Carl's Jr.,etc control 80+ percent of WVO
in the United States. Most franchise stores and ALL company outlets
will NOT give or sell WVO to anyone except the contract-approved
operator(s). There are major corporate issues and probably
financial-feedback/payola or outright organized crime issues to deal
with especailly in the Northeast.

Pre-processing the fuel into biodiesel has to be way better than
straight WVO operation. I would like to see some pumps, injectors, and
cylinder heads and piston tops off straight WVO operated engines with
substantial time on them on WVO before going much further.

Mass popularity of SVO/WVO/DIY Biodiesel will of course exhaust the
resource pretty quickly, so substantial capital investment should be
predicated on recovery of the investment in reasonable time.

Why not have the burger joints burn it themselves for heat or cogen?

We have seen vehicles with over 300k miles on wvo. I have over 150k
miles on wvo in my vw rabbit, and over 6000 hours on my Detroit diesel
generator. WVO operated diesels have been proven time and time again
over the last 20 years. We can get all the oil we need from the
independent outfits. Not interested in dealing with bureaucracy. My
mission is to empower individuals in their quest to be more self sufficient.

That will never happen. People in California would be screaming bloody
murder.
The hybrids in CA can obtain a decail that allows a single driver in the Car
Pool Lane.
Seeing the diesel getting better fuel economy than their pricer and less
fuel effecient hybrid would cause problems.
