That quote would explain why he's a "former" oil minister. Of course, the
Saudis would love to supply most of the hydrogen, probably from their own
natural gas supply. If they could only figure out a decent way to ship it.
Hydrogen is rediculously bulky.

Site wildly promoting hydrogen hype. Looks like a stock pumping operation -
get everyone enthused, drive the stock to unrealistically high levels, then
sell off before the truth comes out and it crashes.
Fuel cells might make sense for stationary power generation from fossil
fuels, with slightly higher efficiency than standard power plants and
constant operation amortizing the high cost over a reasonable period.
Methanol fuel cells might make sense for small portable power uses, like
laptops.
Hydrogen fuel cells might even make sense for very specialized niche
applications, like for spacecraft and airplane electric power supply.
But for road vehicles, hydrogen and fuel cells are far too expensive, far
too inefficient, and have too many unsolved problems, including short
driving range, lack of facilities, and safety issues. More important, there
are alternatives to hydrogen fuel that are less expensive, more efficient,
and may even be environmentally cleaner. The technologies are available
now, not 20 years from now. I'm talking about things like lithium battery
electrics, "pluggable hybrids", personal rapid transit, and "dual mode"
cars.

OH, it just hit me! An epiphany!! The PERFECT way to ship H2!!!!
LIGHTER THAN AIR SHIPS!!!
Here's the plan. You fill them in S.A. then they fly it the the US. After
they are emptied of the H2 they are folded up and shipped back to S.A. using
H2 powered trucks and ships.
Monday I'm going to go and start the paper work to form a company to do
this. Everyone who wants to become rich with me only needs to send $5,000
to $10,000 (US funds only) to me to help me with the start up cost.

It should work. as long as the zeppelin/container is tight enogh to
hold the hydrogen, and you do not paint it with a higly flamable
substance.
(As we all know, the hindenburg fire had nothing to do with the
hydrogen, but with the coating of the ship. Luckily the hydrogen
escapes at 22m/s, if it had been a heavy gas, none would have
survived.)
