That is ONE of the things that a gun MAY be designed for. It certainly is
not the sole purpose. More guns are designed for hunting than for anything
else. There are also guns that are designed strictly for sport. Outside of
military. police, or self defense uses, guns are not designed for action
against people, and certainly not to kill people.

I'm sure that's very reassuring to the families of the victims.
You wouldn't want them killed with an *illegally* owned weapon would you ?

I was wondering about the model; I used to have 8 MAK90's.

Yes a woman, church volunteer, private citizen
with a concealed carry permit. A good example of
what can actually work to address this problem.
"geoff" your posts show you to be such that it would
be pointless try and include your comments in any
rational adult conversation. In this case your statement
makes my point, although I suspect you didn't realize
that.
Luck;

Luckily the shooter didn't know much about firearms. If he had he would
have use a shotgun. If he had really wanted to do a lot of damage he'd used
a few beer bottles full of gasoline.

They got there in about 6 mins. But by that time the shooter had already
killed himself. So it wouldn't have mattered if it had taken them 6 hours.
BTW, did you read how an armed woman with a handgun stopped a well armed
shooter bent on killing as many Christians as he could? As I have pointed
out its a good thing these nut cases don't have the smarts to use something
that can do a lot of damage. Heck, even the US government knows if you
wantt to kill a lot of people at once you use fire not bullets.

That is correct. And the sand his head is buried in tastes just like an

I want factual information reported, not distortions by ignorant
agenda-driven sensationalists.

I don't worry too much about that. Most people who don't like my politics
are the ones who are afraid of guns.

Already has happemed with democrats burning every bridge of reason in site
and looking for more.
Then wondering why they have the lowest rating in polling history.
And can only get as bad as the copperheads during Lincoln's term in office
for the same reasons.
We had two new parties as a result ,of all that out touch with the people,
chao during the 1850's-1860's.
One wonders if Bush had done as Lincoln and threw as many reporters and
policticians on prison barges on
the Potomac .Congress moved with impeachment of a Ohio copperhead for aiding
and abedding the enemy.
Like so many on capitol hill are doing now.....flowery words to exact
opposite effect while they are doing it.
What the reaction would have been.....

Almost - but wrong war. It was Pitt the Younger, to cover the
Napoleonic wars.

Kennedy wanted the tax cuts to be temporary, and he didn't cut them to
the level that would bring about a huge debt. Comparing
Kennedy to Bush is a joke.

Really .....how many liberals even mention cutting taxes.
Alot of the other aspects of Kennedy are the reverse of modern liberals ,but
then
that maybe the reason it was a Democrat that shot him.

True, Kennedy put troops into combat in a country where we had no clear
strategic interest, only a political interest.

Its been my experience that liberals can't support their arguments with
facts and must resort to insults. The gun control topic is a good example.
The pro gunners can point out many cases where there are many guns and low
crime to which the anti gunners just toss insults.
