Anna - (is that your name? I saw it on the article.)
I face this very question of Solar Photo Voltaic or Generator.
One of the pieces of information that you may have is:
"how will the capital cost of PV change over time?"
I'm hearing of new thin film, organic and nano PV materials.
Also, as more suppliers enter the field, competition and economies of
scale should increase, thereby driving costs down.
What do you expect the rate of decline of cost of PV to be?
Also, since battery storage is a necessary component of a practical 24
hour system, how do see the cost of a complete system with batteries
changing over time?
Will it decline?
And, if so, by how much in real dollars per year?
Also, how has the cost of fuel change IN REAL DOLLARS over the last 40
years?
Is there a site to show the historic trend as well as future
predictions - perhaps with bounded scenarios?
Thanks
Phil
