Hi all.

My query relates to the installation of a domestic wind turbine.

I have been reading your posts for some time now and have picked up a
great
deal of useful information.
I have purchased Hugh's Axial Flux plans and I hope to commence
construction
of one of these designs soon - although most of my projects take some
time
before they reach completion.

I have a request.

Could those of you that have brought a wind energy project to
completion and
those of you that have attempted such a thing but have not yet been
successful indicate the unexpected problems they encountered.

In essence, it would be very useful to us wind energy neophytes to
have
access to the hard won knowledge of those who have actually done it
and,
perhaps even more importantly, the knowledge of those who have tried
but
have not yet been able to bring the project to completion.

In other words, what are the pitfalls that we should be aware of
before we
start?
Would you have done anything differently?
Was the design/size/location of your wind turbine the same as you
would
choose if you were to do it again?
Has the installation performed as well as you would have hoped? If
not, do
you know why not?
Was there anything that gave you unexpected difficulty during the
installation?
Has there been anything since that would have altered the decisions
you made
during the design or purchase stages?

I hope I am not asking too much. As you will appreciate this
information
could be very important.

Thank you all, in advance, for your consideration of these matters.

Mike
