Author Calling Inventors

Hello, I'm looking for people in Northern Virginia that would be
intrested in developing a solar powered stirling engine. My initial
Idea is to use a solar collector to heat the hot side and place the
cold side underground to cool it. Particularly I would love to have
any machinists or people with tooling available, but any inventors are
welcome.

Also I have started the group vaenergy if you would like to meet there.

I was just passing by and noticed that your query didn't seem to have
elicited much in the way of response. A few comments:

Given that Stirling engines were invented back in the 1800's, do you
really want to limit participation to inventors? I would suggest that
this late in the game the people you really want are competant
mechanical engineers.

It sounds more as if you're looking for free machine shop service than
Stirling expertise. I'd be glad to be mistaken, of course, but...

The technology isn't locale-specific. You might do better to invite
global participation in whatever development you have in mind - and to
spell out which specific applications you're targeting. If you can and
will do that, you may see a bit more response...

If you'd like to look over a few ideas for Stirling development which
aren't dependent on machining skills, you're invited to follow the
link in my sig.

Just my two cents worth.
