Well here in Hawaii, I do not use warm or hot water- only cold. We
have no heating rod in our washer.(Our dishwasher does warm its
water.) I think soaps have been developed to work in cold water and
after several years of no heated water and using Arm& Hammer
detergent, clothes look great! Even the farmer clothes are clean and
sparkly.
