Author Best Home Design Software for non-professional ??

Hi all,

I'd like a recommendation on a fairly simple, intuitive home design software
package for me to plan out a basic design for a home I'd like to build. I
have a very fast, powerful Windows-based PC.

It should allow 3-D viewing of exteriors and interiors, and should allow
some kind of output I can forward on to a professional architect.

TIA---

Don't bother with this. Your time is much better spent collecting photos
and other tidbits of information to give to an architect. They will throw
out much of what you draw anyway, so don't waste your time learning a
piece of software.
