What to use to fill 1 3/4" space between cement slabs

| I've got a 1 3/4" space between two outside cement slabs that runs for
about two feet..
I will be filling the space with backer rod but what type of caulk or
other material should I use considering the slabs will have expansion
during the weather..
Thanks,
Rich

I would use one of the one part urethanes. Sonneborn makes NP1.
If the slabs are close to level, you might get good use of SL1
(same thing in a self leveling formula).
YOurs is quite a large opening. It sounds as if you may have had
a 2x divider at some point in time. If the joint were very long,
I would probably be looking for some type 4 hot asphalt to install
with a crack kettle, but this involves a lot more trades.
