Masonry wall on lot line; fireproof windows required?
|
|
|
| Hi,
I have a building with a concrete block wall right on a property line; zero
setback. But there is no adjacent building and there never will be one.
The wall is a great place for a few small windows to let in light. However,
local codes probably do not allow any windows in wall right on a property
line. It is a fire protection issue.
But there may be some wiggle room. How do I Google for windows or glass
block that have super heat protection properties? I need some keywords to
get me started; or some web sites.
Also, any stories you might want to tell about situtations where you have
gotten permits to put windows in such a wall.
Thanks,
DaveC
