You just need graphing software? PC or Mac? How complex do the graphs
need to be... i.e. are they based on equations, or is this a
spreadsheet-style graph?

You won't need "graphing paper" when using software to help you layout a
floorplan for a remodeling or addition project. Go here [1] and buy the $59
version of the software which is point and click easy to use and enough for
a simple addition. There are other home design software programs on the
shelves at CompUSA you should also check out. I forget the names but all of
the cheapies are decent for basic DYI designers.

I used punch and the 3d views were great to give to engineer to do the
detailed work. Needed diagrams which showed beam sizes etc for permit
which punch didn't do very well. I had an older version so it might do
better now... http://www.punchsoftware.com/index.htm
