What's a fair price for leveling a few slabs of a concrete driveway? Nothing
special, just straight-forward leveling.

Are you assuming that labor and material costs are uniform throughout
the...oh, wait...you didn't even say what country you're in.

Nevermind.

Are you sure about that price ? I mean, it's just a few slabs of concrete.
Your quote sounds more like it's for several slabs of concrete.

Alright, alright... if we're gonna' horse around, try this one. What's the
price of standard mix concrete poured and finished 6" deep on a driveway...
per square yard?

OK, are you next door to a mudjacking company or in some remote island in
the Philippines? Inquiring minds want to know. Dollars, euros or beads?

John,

I don't think what these guys are doing to your post is right.

The price is $600 per hour.

Concrete costs different amounts depending on where you are.
There are many variables.

Can you pour out of the truck or pump or wheelbarrow?
Who did dig the grade?
Who set the forms?
Who did the fine grade and who is responsible for short yards if
wrong?
Who set the steel if there is any?
Wet cure or chemical cure?
Concrete is not normally priced by the square yard, carpet and
asphalt are. Are you sure you meant square yard and not cubic
yard? Concrete is ordered and paid for by the cubic yard.
Concrete labor is usually based on the square feet of pour. Small
jobs cost more per square foot as they basically require the same
labor as larger pours.

$5 per square foot which is about $45 a square yard should place,
pour, and finish 6" pavement. Depending on your market
(availability of labor) it might even buy you some reinforcement
and some of the other work.

There are just too many issues to give you a respectable answer on
usenet.
