I need to install floor outlets in a new residence- the Hubbell
(PFBRG1) plastic boxes in a 4" thick slab on grade. I've never done
this before.

How are the boxes typically secured during the pour to prevent
movement? Are there pins or stakes that are typically used to hold the
box or the pvc conduit in place?

Screw the boxes to a piece of plywood set in the sand bedding below the
moisture barrier and reinforcement. This will keep them in place and upright
during concrete placement.

I am not sure the inspector will go for that. . . leaving wood under
the slab? I'll ask though. . it sounds like that would hold them in
place.

Use rebar as stakes (driven below the finished floor elevation) and wire
your in slab boxes securely to the rebar, the conduit attached to the boxes
will also help maintain their location; following screeding, check the
locations and elevations and adjust as necessary.
