I need to lay out two parallel trenches to pour a level foundation for
a metal building. The land is slightly uneven. What is the best way
to do that? 18 ft wide by 20 ft long.

Thanks for your help..................

Please!!! If you have to ask that question, hire someone to do it
for you. Truly, you are in over your head. There is no malice in
this just good advice.

There are many here that can give good advice if you understand
the general principles involved.

The issues are much too complex to give you a quick answer in
usenet. The very fact that you ask suggests it may be beyond your
expertise.

Words you will need to understand:
batter boards
diagonal square
builder's level or water level

There is some information at
<http://www.quikrete.com/diy/LayoutB...andFooters.html>

Make sure you establish drainage elevations before you begin. How
were you going to excavate the footings? Make sure you know where
and how to bring in any utilities involved.
