| Under direction the Planner/Scheduler performs a variety of scheduling
duties involving wastewater treatment and collection systems
engineering and construction projects. The Planner/scheduler will
review contractor baseline schedules, updates, and time impact analysis
on assigned Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects. In addition,
this person will monitor actual progress versus planned progress on
large construction projects; provide exception reporting and recommend
actions; maintain schedule documentation so that requests for time
adjustments can be measured against baselines; and assist the division
manager in management of resources by interfacing with the Project
Controls Group and providing divisional scheduling reports. Other
duties will include maintaining and updating scheduling specifications
and procedures; and providing technical support to senior project
schedulers and resident engineers.
The successful candidate will possess the equivalent of a Bachelor's
degree from an accredited college or university with major course work
in Engineering or a related field and a minimum of eight years of
increasingly responsible experience in scheduling large
engineering/construction-based projects. Detailed knowledge of
Project Management principles and Work Breakdown Structures are highly
desired. Strong computer skills including the use of database software
and Primavera P3ec are necessary. A strong understanding of Project
Scheduling and Budgeting is also required. The ability to establish
professional relationships and communicate effectively with all levels
of District staff and contractors, both orally and in writing is
required.
PLANNER/SCHEDULER SALARY RANGE STARTS AT: $74,443/yr. - $81,390/yr.
(Range Maximum = $93,038/yr.)
