We want to add on about 600 sq feet to our house and, of course, are
interested in doing this without spending a huge amount of money.
We've been given some quotes of $100/sq ft.
We're looking to extend one of our bedrooms, which is now my office,
out about
20 feet (it's approx 16 feet across) and putting a bedroom on top of
the extension.
This would include a bathroom - we're not sure if we'll do a full or
half bath.
One of my clients is in the process of building (if you can call it
that) a modular house
in Vermont (we're in Los Angeles) and he said that I should look into
the possibility
of modular add-ons. Does anyone know if these exist?
Also, does anyone have any suggestions for keeping our costs down with
the addition?
Thanks

Extending your home sounds like something that falls right into the
domain of steel buildings. Steel buildings are flexible and affordable
constructions that can be made to look like anything (including
matching the look of your home) and are used for a wide variety of
building purposes, particularly as extensions to current structures.
There's a variety of different styles out there, but the most
cost-effective and simple to put up buildings can be found at <a

Structures</a>. There's plenty of pictures and information on the site
to help you, or at least steer you in the right direction. Good luck!
