Author thru the wall AC install - how to?

Looks like its going to be another Indian summer here in Texas. I have a lot
of work to do in my garage in the coming months and am wanting to cool the
garage. I want to do a hole-in-the-wall installation for a large window AC
(or heat n' air) unit on one wall of my brick home. How exactly is that
done? I've seen some installs where it looks like they have taken steel
angle and placed it along the top to support the top row of bricks. I assume
a full steel frame might need to be welded up and put in place?

Are there any how-to's out there on the web? I have some experience in home
remodeling and construction but not that much with brick and masonry. I
welcome your comments and advice

BTW, the GD is already insulated and I plan to insulate the garage ceiling
as well.
