Here's yet another situation and question regarding Slab on grade vs
crawlspace foundations.

I'm adding 980sf to my home. Most of this area will be family room and
master bedroom, along with a master bath. most of the cons I've read
about slab foundation is the issue of repairing leaky pipes. If there
aren't going to be any pipes, then would it be reasonable to go with
the slab? The master bath would be easy enough to create a crawlspace
for the pipes etc.
I like the idea of a solid non creaky floor. we can still use
underfloor heating systems. (not the water type)

The home is in the moist NW, but it seems there are plenty of slabs
going under homes here.

any comments?

Richard
