I live in Hilo (near the Kaumana Caves).

I bought a couple of fig trees (well they're not exactly trees yet,
they're more like fig plants, they're only about a foot tall) from
Walmart. Let em rest a few days then transplanted to larger pots.

All the original leaves turned brown and nasty within a few weeks. On
one plant, all the leaves basically browned then turned to mush, and
that plant doesn't look like it's going to make it. The other plant
has produced new leaves and shows some promise.

Any advice on what I might have done wrong, or things that I could do
to at least keep the second plant alive?

Thanks for your time,

-Charles
