| I have one of those awful trees with the purple berries growing in my
little back yard. Had it cut down to a stump but the buggah keeps
putting up branches again.
Is there a way to permanently destroy this (or any) stump without
having to dig it up? acid?
TIA

| make sure the stump is dead (use round-up or similar), drill 1/2" or
larger holes about 0' - 6" to 1' - 0" apart into the stump as deep as
the drill bit will go, pour nitrogen or high nitrogen
compound/fertilizer into the holes until about 0' - 1" to the top (if
using dry fertilizer i.e. gaviota or whatever, add water into the
holes until saturation), plug holes temporarily by filling the top
with wax, or stuff it with pieces of plastic (grocery bag), anything
that can be removed because this treatment will have to be reapplied
until the stump rots away or rots enough to be easily removed. check
again in 3 months to reapply as necessary.

| How to kill a tree
Use electric / cordless drill, drill numerous holes into stump about 4
inches deep (1/2 inch spade bit )
fill drilled holes with full strength roundup or brush killer
Note: Drill and then immediately add liquid killer, keep the holes top off
with liquid killer for a couple of days
Cover with garbage can lid or plastic bag, this will kill the tree
permanently
Good luck

| Hi and ALOHA; I am a retired tree expert. For many years I helped to
get stumps to die. When I cut them off I put some holes in the outer
layer and the camium layer and pour clorox into the holes. Keep them
full for a day or so and the stump will die.. C.U.Online..bones
