Thank you,Sacha,for your interesting list of flower meanings.
May I add some of my own?I have an abutilon bought some
years from Woolman's ,"Cannington Orange", which flowers
abundantly from June until it is struck down by hard frost,
hence Abutilon - Abundance.
Also Linaria - daintiness.
In the case of ivy ,let's speak as we find

IVY - TENACITY (or in my experience -
Ivy - sheer b****y obstinancy [gives exasperated gasp])
