Power gardening equipment

| Is this the place to ask questions about power equipment? Cultivators,
hedgecutters, saws etc. If not, where? A search has not turned up an ng.

There's been discussions on kit in uk.business.agriculture Some folks there
more smallholders than large scale farmers.

Yes, it is a not unreasonable place to ask such questions. There are
fairly regular discussions on the relative merits of different makes
of lawnmowers, strimmers, cultivators, etc.
For chainsaws and such uk.d-i-y can also be very helpful, in fact this
is one case where cross-posting the question to both groups seems
quite acceptable, as long as you set followups to just one.
Do a search using Google Groups first to see if your question has been
answered of course.

Yes.
In addition you'll find discussions on that topic from past posters in
google/groups archive of this group. Click on "advance search", the page
that comes up is self-explanatory.

Thanks to all. I'll trawl through Google groups and maybe come back here
afterwards. I was looking for service/repair information on a Stihl
hedgecutter.
