Hi there, I'm new to this site. I was wondering if anyone could help me
with the name of this plant. I have searched all my books and can't
find it anywhere.

Why don't you just ask us which card you are holding too?

Are you thinking of a number between one and ten?

I do not believe there are any plant psychics here today who can read your
mind.

Posted from the Gardenbanter site so the poster probably doesn't realise
this is a actually a non-binary Newsgroup, nothing to do with Gardenbanter,
and that none of us can see her picture.

So you are saying that the Gardenbabble site is for cross-posting dummies?

Aren't there already too many garden sites out there for dummies and other
internet challenged dweebs?

There is even a distinct possibility that the person can't even see a
response posted here anyway. So this inane annoyance is probably just a
waste of everyone's time.

You da man!

You the mack daddy comedy king of uk.rec.gardening!!!

Schiznitz!!

BTW, species epithets are always lower case regardless of their origin. So
the name should have been written as "Ficus plastica var. domestica".

Word to your mother-in-law.

No, but it seems to be the way a lot of "new" posters are finding this Ng.
By new I mean new to the internet too so they probably don't know what a
real Newsgroup is yet and think you can only access this sort of "help
group" through a Web site, which as we know, is total b.llocks.
Most probably use Outlook Express so I wonder if they have ever considered
what the Newsgroup header under "Tools" does?

You have a point. :-)
I caught sight of a couple by mistake the other day, Oh dear, perhaps it's
better they don't know how to access here!

Yes, I had considered that too but thought it worth a try. We were all new
to gardening and the internet once.

I would question that statement regarding some on this newsgroup. I feel
that the way they talk they were born with a garden fork in their mouth :-((

It is possible that some were - who knows what might have been
used as an obstetric implement in some of the more benighted
parts of the world in the first half of the twentieth century?

There are also some of us who were familiar with Email, wide
area networking and this sort of forum before the Internet came
into existence :-)

Nick Maclaren.
