| While Googling for info on my Albizia (see Acer thread), I was
surprised to come across the same thread faithfully reproduced on
http://www.homeownerschat.com/UK-gardening/
So it's not just gardenbanter that copies us!

Copying chunks of usenet is a common tactic used by people attempting
to make money off the internet. It actually isn't always overly effective.
The idea being that the more content you have on your website the more
visitors you will get.
You get the oddest of visitors sometimes.
One one of my websites I had 100,000 pages until I started to rework it.
More will go back I hope. I have just taken a break from a problem with the
coding to look here. ( I don't copy usenet to make my content BTW)
In the logs I once found "Anna from Page 3" as a search that had found
something on my site . Since my site was about wildlife and ecology this
was rather odd so I investigated.
The page found was page 3 of a gallery with a picture of a butterfly called
the Anna Blue!

A friend of mine runs http://www.webfeet.org which includes lots
of folk dance bands. His most popular search turns up a Coventry
outfit - Peeping Tom, with Cock and Bull coming a close second.
