Hi

I bought an electric propagator along with a zillion seeds. When the compost
dries out, what is the best way to water the seeds and seedlings ? - I have
heard that 'damping off' can rot them by over-watering.

Any general tips here would be appreciated

Thanks
Steve

I use one of these:

It make dosage easy to control!

Overwatering is the worst things for seedlings.

Some seedlings require that they be watered from the bottom. That will mean
setting their container into another container that will hold water.

I put water in the bottom container and then set the seed pots into it. I
test the seed pots after an hour and if they aren't damp, I take them out
and add more water and replace the seed pots. I continue this until the
seed pots are damp, and them remove them from the water container until they
need to be watered again ( one or more days). I continue the process until
the seeds have sprouted.
