| Yesterday I picked runner beans and also Peas, and if the frost holds
off I should be picking for another couple of weeks.
Both the peas and beans have a few flowers on them , but I hold out no
hope of picking for Xmas day.
I should say that they are from Late sowings, and are growing outside.

I have wondered about sowing runner beans over a longer period, but this
year has been very good and I was picking up to a week ago.

You must be quite close to the sea David, and be a bit milder than
inland this side of the Bristol Channel!

We came back from deepest Wales on Staurday and dined off runner beans.
There's at least one more picking on the plants. I know from experience that
they won't last much longer but it's not bad!
