And if I remember correctly Dr Malcolm Ogilvie has stated the
corncrake was a success story.
Are these guys crooks?

All truth passes through three stages:
First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.

Who am I to say, although it would appear, apparently, circumstantial
that Ogilvie is keen to disassociate himself of the RSPB over the last
few years. I wonder what the reason could be? I smell a drunken sloth
breaking eggs.....

| As a camper, the corncrake for me would be a mixed blessing. By 2
o'clock in the morning, with them still yelling their heads off, the
excitement of having rare neibours will have worn thin, and I would be
ready to wring their necks!
