It's gratifying to note that Tina does not want to deprive the snails of
their thatched cottage (pampas grass) but just wants to downsize it.

It's amazing how many snails come out of a small clump of pampas at night
when it rains after a few dry days. Get out there with a torch and start
counting!

You'll then decide to hire the JCB and get rid of it!

Not just snails, we have closed circuit t.v.surveilence of our
property which is motion activated. We once had a pampas grass (no
more) and the number of vermin that live in it are numerous. You can
burn it out by getting a really hot fire going in the centre and
digging out what is left.
