Pepino will crop first year from seed.
You want to aim to gradually pot them on till they are in 10inch or
slightly bigger pots.
The flower is rather potato like, the fruit form like small eggs and
ripen slowly, probably having light purple stripes down their length.
They need to be grown in a greenhouse or poly tunnel to get the best
from them.
They root easily and grow well from cuttings.
You will find quite a wide variance between plants from seed but I
would advise selecting the best and keeping them, they will over
winter with minimal frost protection.
