Author Well I did try .......
'Mike'

I thought that the psychological thing of emptying a water but in June would
cause a drought and thus return us to Summer, but no, overnight the butts
have filled, the new tap is just fine ............. when we 'do' want water,
and the new coupling and overflow system are working well, ...... too well.
we don't want them working :-((

Sorry folks. I did my best.

Mike

It's all my fault - buying that damn water pump. I might have known that
would make it rain endlessly.

David, you are only to blame for the Normandy rain, I am at fault for
the UK one. I lashed out a lot of money for piping, pump and controller.
Spent all the hot dry weather burying the pipe, used the system once,
not stopped raining since! Not that I am complaining, there is not
chance of flooding on my property, unlike many other places in the UK.

During the very hot summer of 1976, we waited,
..
...

and waited,
..
..
...
and waited

for planning permission to put a big Sun Lounge right across the front of
our last house. A massive thing. (Which later I regretted doing)

The sun shone

The garden turned to desert.

and then .......... we were granted the planning permission to GO AHEAD :-)

Guess what?

Does anyone remember the September and on of 1976?

RAIN.

and RAIN

and RAIN

:-((

Well we've had rain virtually every day, at some point, ever since
I ordered the summerhouse a couple of months ago!

There's nothing nicer than laying in bed with the wind and rain
howling all around so take your sleeping bag down there and enjoy
it!!!

*Up* there! My garden is all 'up-hill'...except when I'm going
back down to the house.

Nice night tonight, Judith. I was out in the garden until after
11 pm. Made a nice change from dodging the showers...oh, we had
a Red Arrow display today... must've been something on at Scone
Palace, as that seemed to be at the centre of their aerial acrobatics.
Game Fair, or something, I suppose. I don't pay a lot of attention
to their 'doings'...someone was asking all the Freecyclers, tonight,
to look out for their little collie pup, which had been spooked by
the Red Arrows, and had run away. Shame! Poor wee thing is probably
terrified.
