Any hope for my Mitsubishi?

| My 19" Mitsubushi Diamondtron NF DPRO 920 monitor has developed a
hardware fault, and is unfortunately outside its warranty. Before I
reach for my credit card, I thought I'd seek advice here on the
prospects of fixing it myself.
It occasionally suddenly switches itself off , and then repeatedly
switches on and off. I hear its internal relay opening and closing.
And, as a variation on that, sometimes I've found it off in the
morning (but not cycling - although for all I know it may have been
doing so before finally switching off for good).
At a quick glance, I'm darned if I can even see how to get into it!

It's probably something pretty simple, either a cracked solder joint or a
bad electrolytic capacitor. Haven't tried opening that brand but often they
have hidden catches, you just have to mess with it carefully or hopefully
someone else here can tell you exactly how to open it.
