How can a non-member post on MLS?
|
|
|
| Hi everyone, hopefully someone has some good advice for me. I work in
Manhattan but I have been getting a ton of listings on Long Island.
Because my broker is based in Manhattan, we can't join LIBOR. It would
really make my life easier to be able to post on MLSLI. Any
suggestions on how to do that? Thanks I appreciate any help.

| your broker can still join LIBOR even if he is in Manhattan, if he wants
to pony up the 3.5K I believe. (cheapest RE Board in the state, REBNY
is like 20k)
You could try referring them out for a referral fee. If you can't
properly service the listing, this is what I would suggest.
My office is in Jamaica but I live in Elmont.

I can be found on Active Rain also.

You might consider changing companies. Prudential Douglas Elliman is in
both NYC and on LI. and they are a member of LIBOR. This might be the best
route, as you would have access to everything from the Montauk to Manhattan.

| That was 1 of the reasons I switched. I had 2 clients looking in
brooklyn, and my office wasn't a member of REBNY. Now I have access to
both REBNY and LIBOR. (prefer Stratus to BNYMLS, better database imo)
