Recreation facilities for the family in Carlsbad

The City of Carlsbad Recreation Department offers indoor and outdoor facilities that can be used by all types of organizations and private party occasions. Here are a few:
Aviara Community Park, Calavera Hills Community Park, Hosp Grove Park, Memorial Dog Park, and Poinsettia Community Park are a few of the parks that offer a wide variety of active and passive play areas, sport activities for all ages including soccer, basketball, tennis, baseball and softball, and children’s tot lot.
Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park is a 27-acre park located at the site of the former "rancho" once owned by the late actor Leo Carrillo. The park is unique from other City parks, as it focuses on historic interpretation of the early Spanish rancho period and provides educational, cultural and passive recreation opportunities.
