Is a Mortgage Broker the same as a Loan Officer? I hear them being used
synonymously. Is there a difference?

There is a difference. The Broker holds a license and canbe held legally and
ethically responsible for his/her actions and the actions of the firm.
Typically, a Loan Officer will work under the license of a Broker.
