Have you ever wondered if some of these speakers actually do what they
teach? See, here's the fact about real estate investing. It's one of
the hottest topics on the internet today. There are millions of people
searching all over the internet looking for the latest ways to do real
estate deals. And as a result, magically there are now all of these
'self proclaimed gurus' on real estate topics, when in actuality there
are probably only a handful that have done deals on a regular basis.
So, why are there so many to pretend to know it all on real estate
investing?
These guys see that it is a hot market with large groups of people
that is easily reached. So, they will go buy several books on real
estate topics and then will summarize what they've read into their own
book. And sometimes, they don't even write the book. Instead they
write a check to have the book "ghost written". Look, there are
several freelance writing websites that you can have someone write a
book for you for a little bit of nothing.
Do you remember doing this same procedure when you were in high
school?
Let me see, I believe these were called book reports? Right?
If you've ever read any of the Rich Dad books, Think and Grow Rich, or
any other good sound business books, then they will tell you the
secret to succeeding in any field is a result of modeling. In other
words, you find someone that is where you want to be and model what
they are doing. Study those that have the experience. Otherwise, you
can easily be led to astray chasing a "pipe dream" from someone that
knows just enought to get you into trouble.
