dvd player to convert pal to ntsc

what dvd player is it that will play pal discs on normal ntsc tvs? it
converts them, but i forget the name brand and model, it was less then $100.
this is for home stereo, not computers.
it would be neat to also play divx, mpeg stuff etc.
hopefully you can get this at circuit city and those type places. want to
get one local.

There are plenty of DVD player that will play both regional coded disks
- or at least say they will. I don't know of any that will convert
between the formats. They are mostly for overseas customers ie military
so your local CC or BB may not carry them. You can always mail order
one.And I know of none that will read the computer formats you
mentioned but I didn't do much research.
