Does anyone have any experience with Directv's HD programming? I used
to subscribe to Directv, but gave it up in part to the terrible quality
of their signal....there was so much compression in most of the
channels it was unwatchable. I am intrigued by the fact that they are
adding new satellites that will allow them to offer 70+ HD channels.
However, several months ago there was a column in Sound & Vision where
the author made a similar claim....that they were compressing their HD
channels to fit them in their bandwidth. Has anyone noticed if this is
the case? Thanks
