Need info on wireless surround sound pls

| Have been looking at a wireless surround sound system to replace my 12 year
old receiver with three sets of speakers hooked to it (via a load protected
speaker swtich). I have been using the extra speaker sets as 'pseudo'
surround sound for years, and running all my TV audio out to this system.
I'd be keen to get recommendations on what receivers/CD/DVD players folks
feel are decent in the wireless marketplace, as well as what speakers are
compatible (if they differ from the makers of the other components).
One final question - I have a set of wired speakers on my deck that are also
controlled by the same speaker swtich mentioned. I wonder if there is a
wireless reciever/unit that also has a standard set of jacks for a wired set
of speakers? (Or some other device to be able to re-use these speakers?).
They are decent quality and outdoor rated, so I'm loathe to get ride of
them.
Appreciate any feedback

There are no decent consumer wireless receiver/combos on the market,
to date.

| Not outdoor rated, but worth the read. For 89 bucks....I'll be trying it
out!
