A friend is getting a new gas oven for his kitchen and taking out the old
electric oven. There is natural gas in the house for the water heater and
hot water baseboard heating system. He was considering taking off the gas
line main that feeds these two items, and putting a ball valve and then
running 5/8" OD soft copper with flared fittings up into the attic and then
down the kitchen wall behind the oven and then putting another ball valve
and connections for the oven. The kitchen is inaccessible from the
basement. Any thoughts on this?
