I'm looking for a weatherproof metal ( or UL94 5V flame retardand
plastic) box with field wiring terminals to allow "permanently
connected equipment" to be connected to building supply

the installation will have to comply with the US NEC.

thanks
Charlie

If they don't make it, nobody does. Mounting a terminal strip inside one
of their standard enclosures sounds like a good starting point.

Look at the disconnects with fuses or circuit breakers that are
used with central air conditioning at the outdoor compressor.
Very cost effective.

Terminals in side the box requires a different U.L. listing than just a box.

Field installed terminals make the install easier unless your in a
jurisdiction that is picky.
