| Hello Friends,
I need caluculations in the thermal power plant such as Boiler
caluculations(Boiler efficiency),condenser ,airpreheater , turbine etc
for a Thermal Power Plant
Please send to soorisneha@yahoo.co.in
Thanks

Having worked with a couple of thermal performance engineers, I can tell you
that it's more than some e-mail message can cover.
Each feed-water heater has DCA (drain-cooler approach delta-T), each heat
exchanger has performance numbers (NTU for example), do the drains cascade
all the way back to the condenser, or are there pump-forward drains? What
goes into the feed-water heaters besides extraction steam?
The boiler you have flue gas analysis (how much water vapor, excess air,
unburned carbon & CO), the fuel analysis (ash, moisture, LHV, etc...)
How many different turbines? High press, low press, intermediate? Moister
separators? how effective (moisture content at outlet) Reheater performance
(how much scavenging steam flow, outlet temperature, drain tank
temperature)? How many extraction points? Controlled or uncontrolled?
Main condenser (air leakage, degree of subcooling, turbine exhaust
back-pressure). Air ejectors? How many stages? Where do you get the
motive steam, straight from the boiler or a reboiler?
Pumping systems, turbine driven, motor driven, variable speed or throttle
valves?
Even where do you get shaft-sealing steam from, and how much?
The list is *very* long, those are just the 'highlights'.
