Author Phase offset adj on HP-33120A arb synth?

I'm reading the manual for the HP-33120A arb. sig. synth. An option when
ordering this (now discontinued) synth is one of phase offset. By using sync
inputs and outputs at the back of two 33120's one can generate a phase-offset
between the two signals.

It seems (as best i can tell from the manual) that to do this you bring up a
menu and enter the value of offset. It is a fixed value.

Am I correct in understanding that this offset is not a constantly-adjustable
value? I seem to remember that, for example, the HP-3326 dual-output sweep
gen allowed infinite variation of the offset. But for the 33120A it is not
"real-time" adjustable via front panel pot or key press?

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks,
