With all this Powersaver crap being discussed lately, I am reminded of a
popular scam of about five or ten years ago. The scammers were selling a
magnetic device that you put on the outside of a pipe that would prevent the
minerals in hard water from depositing as scale. I don't remember hearing a
peep about that over the last few years.

I have seen "magnetized" water for sale even more recently.

Not to mention special magnets to put on your car's fuel line to
'magnetically align' the fuel molecules for better mileage :-)

Actually the cancer cure works much better than the fuel mileage
enhancer!
The reason is that cancer cures seems to have a large psychosomatic
factor whereas your car's engine is not so easily influenced by
imagination.

I remember seeing something about a strip with a winding inside that
you're supposed to stick inside your electric panel & it's suppose to
purify the energy with something called Orgone - I guess it works better
with the tinfoil hat on;) - but someone I met swears by the other Orgone
Related stuff, like a bunch of shredded cooper bit's and a coil encased
in transparent plastic casing you can make it all at home with epoxy &
the above mentioned guts - I never really got into it, but it apparently
helped him, he got married & moved out of the slum;)All with his little
Orgone Generators planted all over in is apartment & one around his
neck.

They looked cool, if you fired a laser at it it would probably ricochet
& kill you }

My wife had one on her water line when I met her. When we married and
bought a house, she asked if I was going to get one. I'm still chuckling.

Pyramid scams, multi-level marketing scams, countless gas saving scams,
health product scams, all come and go depending on the economy, price of
gas, success of other products, and so on.

They make minor changes to scam function, major changes to scam names, but
the two things that never seem to change are the scams, and the stupid
and/or ignorant people that fall for them.

No, I'm not a brilliant electrical engineer, but I do know scams. heh

You would never be allowed to come close to any laser with a power
level of such a capacity, and if you "fired" one that was that powerful
at whatever the fuck you are mumbling about, it would vaporize it, not
"ricochet".

Bwuahahahahahaaha! Yeah, you could waste several thousand dollars and
STILL only make a laser capable of burning you, not "ricochet and kill"
you. Shame though. You killing yourself would make a good video.

How long do you think your silly foil would last? With all the
microscopic debris hitting satellites, they soon have enough damaged
areas to burn. Once those spots start to burn, the damaged area
spreads.

In this case, the term is 'dimbulb', not 'light bulb'.

The mention of aluminum foil was a quick and dirty example of how a laser
weapon can be defeated, nothing more. Obviously, it would be ineffective in
harsh environments, but more robust substitutes wouldn't be difficult to
come by.

Poor gas mileage won't kill you or the car. Magnetic cancer "cures"
can.

Idiot. You don't copy the sig flag from the previous poster, dipshit.
However, I know for a fact that your retarded XXX doesn't even know what
a sig flag is.

Aside from that, AGAIN you managed to say nothing at all.

You should have an award named for just how retarded the depths of
your stupidity can be. "nuff said"... Boy... you didn't say a damned

What's so funny? Plenty of surplus stuff sitting around, and these days,
you can shop all over the world from your couch.

Don't think someone can build a laser? How about a nuclear reactor with
