CALL FOR PAPERS
The 10th IASTED International Conference on
Power and Energy Systems
~PES 2008~
April 16 - 18, 2008
Baltimore, Maryland, USA
SPONSORS
The International Association of Science and Technology for
Development (IASTED)
Technical Committee on Power and Energy Systems
CONFERENCE CHAIR
Prof. Ewald Fuchs - university of Colorado at Boulder, USA
CONFERENCE WEBSITE
http://www.iasted.org/conferences/home-617.html
PURPOSE
The next generation of power systems must change and adapt to
environmental factors, customer concerns, and reliability issues. The
environment will prove to be either a catalyst or obstacle for future
electrical development, and customer-centred concerns will be a
driving force for new concepts in demand participation. Additionally,
recent and ongoing challenges related to blackouts and power quality
problems in many parts of world must be solved with innovations in
controls, devices, and infrastructure. Disasters of wide-scale
proportion must be mitigated and our energy systems must expand
rapidly in order to meet the growing demand for electrical energy.
The 10th IASTED International Conference on Power and Energy Systems
will create an international forum for researchers and practitioners
to exchange new ideas and practical experience in the areas of energy
and power systems. PES 2008 aims to strengthen relations between the
energy sector, research laboratories, and universities. All papers
submitted to this conference will be peer evaluated by at least two
reviewers. Acceptance will be based primarily on originality and
contribution.
