I have been asked to run a 240volt appliance from a 48volt deep cycle
system--any ideas ?

Inverter? I am sure somebody makes one off the shelf. How big?

What type of electrical system?
50 Hz or 60 Hz?
120-0-120 or 0-240 or three phase?
What kW or kVA rating is needed?
