Thanks Chuck,
What I forgot to mention was that, even with power off, the arcing
occurs.

I' ve also verified the integrity of the grounding wire from the
socket to the fuse box and its connections.

I'll replace the socket and see what happens.

UnGawa Ben: If just the one outlet/receptacle is acting up, it behooves
you to open it up and see if there is a loose contiguous ground wire etc
etc etc.
Good Luck with It & have your local community leaders place a Lighting
Arrester away from your Hut for more added safety };-) Roy
