Re: Lightening Discharge through Sockets in Residential Building

| Hi Leo,
I am located in Benue State, Nigeria. The socket I refered to is a
220V, 13Amps socket. This problem occurs only on this particular socket
and not others. When it occurs I usually see a flash of light as well
as hear the sound typical of electric sparks. The discharge occurs both
with and without plgged into the socket.
Until I can finger what exactly is the problem, I've not yet considered
the option of buying a surge protector.
Thanks for your contribution. Further information would be welcome.
Regards, Ben

| I still think you need to replace the socket. Did you do so?
