Hello,

I need some help.
In EN60947-1:1999, Table 23 is a Surge- Test listed.
There is no difference between the values for testing supply lines and
input/output lines.
We have a low voltage device (DC24V). If the customer connect the
ground line to the PE (what isn't forbidden), we have to withstand 2kV
surge not only at the supply lines but also on the input lines. Is
this right? I can't believe that. This means that a resistor in the
input line have to withstand nearly 2000V if this resistor ist >>40
Ohm. It isn't uncommonly to put the GND to the PE in a switchgear
cabinet.
