I seem to remember once seeing pieces of plywood mounted
inside steel control enclosures with control components
(control relays, motor starting contactors, etc.) mounted on
them. The plywood was fastened to the back of the enclosure
with machine screws and nuts, and the controls were mounted
to the plywood with wood screws. Is this an acceptable
mounting method under the NEC? Seems like it might be a
fire hazard.
